San Francisco City College, San Francisco, California

Sculptural environment ( 80 feet by 100 feet / 24,4 by 30,5) in a landscape setting for the campus of the Social Science Building. The freestanding sculpture, a 24-foot / 7,32-meter precast concrete hyperbolic paraboloid form in six-foot modules, functions as a wind foil to the court space behind it. It has sculpted, comfortable seats to form an outdoor gathering place for students.
